Tab Valance & Tab Tiers

TAB VALANCE & TAB TIERS
For a simple look with just the Tab Valance, or with Tiers for more coverage, this is a great look in solids, tickings, checks or plaids. Fullness is figured at 1-1/2 times window width. 

Standard sizes for a 24"- 72" wide window are listed below. Tabs are 1-1/2" wide by  2" L FOR THIS USE ONLY and 3/4" dowel or wrought iron rods are suggested for this look. This can also be made to fit larger or smaller windows and tabs can be made for larger rod (below). PLEASE CALL FOR ADVICE.

Variation of Plymouth Tab

VARIATION OF PLYMOUTH TAB
Tabs to the right are what we call “Dead Hang” Panels. These are made with less fullness and tabs per panel for a simpler look. The pair on the left are 48"W and are suitable for a window no more than 32"W. This look can be achieved for any size window using 1 1/2 times window width for fullness. 2"L x3/4"- 1" wide tabs are standard but may be adjusted for different diameter rods. PLEASE CALL FOR ADVICE.

*48" W pair has 2" Tabs, no tiebacks and is made for a window no wider than 32''.
A very primitive Colonial look! Looks great hung inside.

Sliding Glass Door Treatment Examples

PLYMOUTH TAB
Tabs shown to right are on a 6' Sliding Glass Door. A 100" or 124"W x 81" or 84"L pair of Tab Curtains can be used depending on fullness desired.

1 1/4 " hardware with a closet pole as a rod has been used here. Tiebacks may or may not be used depending on the look desired. The width of tabs has been increased to 1 1/4 " for use with larger rod. A pair 152" wide is suitable for a 8'-9' window or door. Plymouth Rod Pocket Curtains may also be used in the same application.
